Having trouble sleeping lately? You’re not alone. Between coronasomnia, a term medical professionals dubbed the sleepless nights many are experiencing due to stress, anxiety and depression around the Covid-19 pandemic, and working (one or multiple jobs) around the clock, sleep deprivation is on the rise.
In the past, sexologist and Bloomi co-founder and CEO Rebecca Alvarez Story has discussed how masturbation can lower stress and help you relax. By releasing endorphins during an orgasm, your body eases, creating an ideal setting for rest. However, for those still struggling to catch some Z’s even after your solo sessions, we recommend adding supplements like Peak + Valley’s Restore My Sleep to your evening routine. This vegan, gluten-free and non-GMO formula improves sleep quality and duration while reducing overall stress levels to improve long-term sleep performance. Even more, it empowers your body’s natural ability to heal during sleep to strengthen cognition, energy and immunity during the day.
While just adding one teaspoon of the blend – which is filled with rich ingredients like chamomile flower powder, saffron extract powder, ashwagandha root powder, tart cherry powder and coconut milk powder – into some water or tea can do the trick, there are more delicious ways to set your body up for sleep. Below, test out this yummy Strawberries N’ Cream Smoothie Bowl recipe from HappyHungryHealthy and Peak + Valley. It’s the perfect way to eat and sleep well.
